Fun on NOTYQ’s 2010 Retreat

A great time was had by all at this years NOTYQ retreat.  Check out the official website photos Here are a few snapped with my iphone.

I really enjoyed the company of a lovely bunch of ladies from all generations and walks of life.  It was a true gathering of creative and giving minds.  Oh and some people could be very silly and funny (not that that was me!!!)

Thanks guys, I had a great weekend.  Sorry it had to come to an end.  But then I do come home to quilting delightful customer quilts which is way better than going back to work in a boring office.  I feel very lucky that I am able to work in a field that inspires me so much.

I started work on my new long term project Life is Beautiful by Helen Stubbings. This is going to be a lot of fun.  I am using Lana threads by Aurifill which is very forgiving as I haven’t done a lot of stitcheries before.

  1. Looks like you had a good time – just thought I would drop in and admire your work – Just started reading a series of novels called Elm Creek Quilts and it so reminded me of our weekend in Oasis – not that we were all quilting! How did the one you were making for Lizzie turn out?
    Love Alison
